Red Ribbon Club Activities
RED RIBBON foundation is an organization founded in 1993 whose main purpose is the education about prevention of the human immunodeficiency virues(HIV/Acquired Deficiency Syndreome(AIDS).Educating youth and other members in the wider community on sexuality and HIV/AIDS,development of life skills for students involved,and instilling a spirit of compassion towards people living with HIV/AIDS in our country.

- Blood donation by voluntiers
- To help and support people living with HIV/AIDS.
Goal
To reduce the occurrence of new sexually transmitted infections(incidence),particularly HIV,among youth and to inculcate blood donation among youth.
2006
Our RRC students participated in aids awareness programme at Shamuga Industries Arts and Science College, Thiruvannamalai. Cheif guest delivered about AIDS impact management and the students about need to have early testing and lifestyle changes that will thereby reduce and prevent further infection. As a whole it was very helpful for the youth of the day.
2008
In our college RRC has conducted a meeting on 17.07.2008 for the students. The resource person of this day is Mr.EDWIN RAJ. He delivered about how to develop healthy lifestyles and increase availability of safe and adequate quantities of blood to all the needy people.
In our college RRC has conducted a meeting on 29.07.2008 for the students. The resource person of this day is Mr. EDWIN RAJ. He delivered about “AIDS AWARENESS” Anti-AIDS campaign. It inspired the students about blood donation and overall development of youth.
2009
On 21.08.2009 RRC meeting was conducted. Our chief guest Mr.RAJENDRAN spoke about “AIDS AWARENESS AND SAFE ACCESS” to in behaviors and voluntary donation of blood. This enabled them to become challenging agents in HIV/AIDS.
On 15.12.2009 RRC meeting was conducted our chief guest Mr.BALAJI and Mrs. delivered about HIV awareness, to help and prevent HIV infection and its eliminates. It is entirely preventable through awareness raising and also motivated them to prevent themselves.
2014
We have conducted the RRC orientation programme on 10.3.2014.The chief guest Mr.RAJENDRAN RRC divisional manager, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, delivered about the service and dedication of RRC students, aimed at heightening the risk perception and preventing HIV among youth. And also motivated to reduce HIV infection through behaviour change communication.
2015
RRC has conducted a Rally on 21.01.2015 nearby village kakarasampalayam with our students, to celebrate the “NATIONAL YOUTH DAY”. This rally insisted the implementation of the national project “SWACHH BHARATH ABHIYAM” we have reached out to children and mothers to raise awareness around hygiene and sanitation. This initiated drive behaviour change and improve sanitation facilities and aims to clean up the streets ,roads and infrastructure of India’s cities, towns and rural areas.
2018
Our college RRC Programme Officer Mr.K.Sivaraman attended RRC training on 19th January 2018 at Thiruvalluvar University with the following students of our college.

During this meeting Mr.Rajendran, Head of RRC delivered about the symptom of HIV and AIDS. He also encouraged the students to participate in the social activities. He advised the students to donate blood in order to save the people’s life and also motivated youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation and team building.
2019
On 28th march 2019 our college RRC students and programme officer together participated in the RRC meeting conducted by Thiruvalluvar Universuty with the following students of our college.

On 5.07.2019 we have conducted a orientation enrollment programme Rev.Dr.Sara jasmine the principal of our college introduced about all the clubs to entire students. All our club co-coordinators introduced and explained about RRC [RED RIBBON CLUB]
On 06.07.2019 our college has organized an awareness programme about cleanliness.
On 19.07.2019 the RRC meeting was conducted by our college, the students from B.com and BCA were the participants to create an awareness. An excellent MIME was performed by the students.
2019
22.08.2019 RRC club members from our college conducted an awareness program on women abuse, harmful effects of eating junk food, awareness and practices regarding dengue fever and AIDS awareness. The RRC coordinator Miss,G.Nirmala,Asst.prof in BCA and department of B.com together organized various awareness programme like :
- Mime on women’s abuse
- Drama on effects of junk food
- General awareness through dance
- Aids awareness song
- Speech on Dengue
On 15.10.2019 an awareness Rally was done by the RRC coordinator and RRC students of our college. The Rally was inaugurated by Mr.Mohan ptc., from moonurumangalam. He addressed the students about maintaining a proper sanitation and hygiene to the future nation builders of our students.
They have participated in the Rally to create awareness regarding cleanliness among the village people. The Rally was led by the teachers by caring placards of display messages to sanitize the public, Volunteers shouted aloud the slogans to reach out the rural peoples common issues. Finally the Rally ended with oath taking by the students on health and hygiene.
02.12.2019 An Aids awareness programme was organized by Ms,G.Nirmala RRC coordinator Asst.prof in BCA of our college Rev.Sr.Sara jasmine the principal, Mrs.Kavitha Thiruvannamalai, District programme manager, V.Vignesh-PH, pudupalayam, Dr.Haripriya PH,pudupalayam,Dr.U.Irudhaya sami ,National secretary c-HAI were invited as resource person. They explained about the prevention insisted to make measures to control aids .prevention is better than cure, so they told the students to lead the disciplined life and also to eat the healthy food. Finally students took oath and photographs were towards with our students.
2020
29.01.2020 women welfare programme was jointly oranized by the district social welfare department thiruvannamalai and our management.

Mrs.Gomathi spoke about the laws to protect the children competitions were conducted and prizes distributed. They are : Poetry writing

Pledge was taken by everyone to protect the women and children Rev.Dr.Sara Jasmine,the principal appreciated everybody and their selfless service and renederd vote of thanks.
16.03.2020 NSS and RRC along with Thiruvannamalai medical college conducted a blood donation camp under the guidence of Dr.Haripriya, A.Elumalai H.I, Mr.Vengadajalapathi,BHS, Mr.Senthilkumar, non medical,HI Vijayalakshmi,karapattu,Health nurse and training Thiruvannamalai medical college. Totally 50 students volunteered themselves to donate their at blood.
10.05.2020 Our college RRC conducted an online ”RRC QUIZ”. Students of our college and other colleges participated and each one finally received e-certificates.
30.12.2020 TAMILNADU STATE AIDS CONTROLL SOCIETY (TNSACS) Coducted an online awareness quiz at national level about Covid-19. Totally 161 students from our college participated in it and also received e-certificates.
25.01.2021 Our college has organized voters day Rally from Unnamalaipayam to our college campus. Our RRC students participated and motivated the public to select good leaders for our nation during the forthcoming election.

All faculties, student’s volunteers have taken part in the Rally and created awareness among the village people. The Rally ended into our campus and finally everyone along with Rev.sr.Julia violet the secretary has proclaimed voter’s day oath.

On 29th December Tamilnadu State Aids Control Society conducted district and state level online quiz competition for channeling youth for healthy living, Our college RRC stuents have participated through the given link http://rrcquiz2021.tnsacs.in and quiz link from 3.00pm to 3.45pm and also received E-certificate.

On 13th October our club has organized vaccination camp in our college. According to the suggestions of our Thiruvannamalai collector vaccination camp was organized for our students those who are 18years and above get immunization dose I totally 7 members and who are have completed 30 days for vaccinated dose I students have vaccination for dose II Totally 172 who have profited from this camp.
Our chief guest Dr. KARTHIK gave the suggestions about the vaccinations to save the society from the upcoming danger of CORONA in future. And each vaccinated students received paracetamol tablet from the Practionary.

On 25th January our RRC club organized voters day in our college. Mrs. G. NIrmala, department of BCA spoke about the importance of voting a selecting good and honest persons to build strong a nation. Finally our BCA students along with club student took voter’s day oath.
