The College Library is the heart of Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women. It plays a vital role in supporting academic learning, research, and personal development.

The library is well-equipped with over 12,000 volumes, including textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and other learning resources.

The library provides a calm and resource-rich environment that encourages students and faculty to enhance their knowledge and stay updated with modern academic and research trends.

Library Rules and Regulations

To ensure effective use of library resources, all members are requested to adhere to the following rules:

Absolute silence must be maintained inside the library.
Each student will be issued three library cards, and a maximum of three books can be borrowed at a time (one book per card).
Books will be issued only on the production of a valid library card and student identity card.
Books may be borrowed for a period of seven days (one week).
Borrowed books must be returned on or before the due date, which will be indicated on the book.
A fine of ₹5 per day per book will be charged for late returns.
A fine of ₹50 will be charged for the replacement of a lost library card.

Reference books, journals, magazines, and newspapers are strictly for in-library use only.
Exchange of library books or cards is strictly prohibited. Violation may result in cancellation of library membership and penalty.
Writing, underlining, marking, or damaging books in any manner is strictly prohibited.
Students found damaging or losing library materials must pay double the replacement cost.
Students or staff leaving the college during or at the end of the academic term must obtain a library no-due certificate.
The library functions from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days.
The library remains closed on holidays.
