Welcome to the Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications at Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women, Pudupalayam, Tiruvannamalai. The Department of BCA was established to provide quality education in Computer Science and prepare students for careers in the dynamic IT industry. At present, the department offers the BCA degree programme under the affiliation of Thiruvalluvar University. The department is supported by well-qualified and dedicated teaching faculty who strive for the academic and personal growth of every student.
We offer a curriculum that includes Programming, Database Management, Web Development, Networking, Software Engineering, and emerging technologies. The department also provides practical exposure through well-equipped computer laboratories and ICT-enabled classrooms.
The Department frequently conducts Workshops, Seminars, Coding Competitions, Technical Quizzes, and Industrial Visits. We also encourage our students to participate in inter-collegiate events, internships, and project presentations to enhance their skills and confidence.
Computer Applications is a highly interesting and growing field because technology is involved in every aspect of daily life. BCA graduates have wide opportunities in Software Development, Web Designing, Data Analytics, Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Banking, and IT-enabled services. There is also ample scope for higher studies such as MCA, MBA, and M.Sc. Computer Science.
