ABOUT DEPARTMENT
The Department of Computer Science is one of the best and dedicate continuously educating and energizing students with quality content. The department was started in the year 1999 packed with talented and devoted faculties Later in the academic year 2008-2009, additional section was started in order to meet the demand of the students .There was very good improvement and development in infrastructure and so in the year 2010-2013 it flourished with evening session also the Department reached higher heights in the year 2002 by expanding to PG level in M.Sc (IT) to its credit it has M.Sc (CS) which was establish in the year 2016.
The Department moved one more step further and started M.Phil Full time course in the year 2014.So far the Department has Secured 2 GOLD MEDALS AND 9 UNIVERSITY RANKS IN UG .6 GOLD MEDALS AND 54 UNIVERSITY RANKS in PG. The Department has been organizing number of Seminars, Symposiums, Workshop And Conferences.
A Chinese proverb very aptly quotes, "Teach me, and I will forget Show me I might remember. Involve me, and I will not forget". To a very great extent, a theoretical knowledge is enhanced when a co-curricular activity related to the content taught, is organized.
Role of co-curricular activities in a student's life cannot be put in to words easily. Intellectual development of the personality is achieved to a great extent, in the classroom itself. Steadfast Computer Science Department, training their students by Know-How-Day session, Talent Exposure session and guiding them to organize various events.

Eligibility
A Candidate should have passed the HSC with Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science as a subject or an Examination of any other University accepted as equivalent there to by the Syndicate subject to such other conditions as may be prescribed.
