About the Child Protection Club

  • Children are the most vulnerable members of the society. They are easy victims of violence, abuse and exploitation because of their physical and mental immaturity. These can happen anytime and anywhere.
  • As such, they need special safeguards including legal protection. Thus in 1989, the United Nations General Assembly formulated the Convention on the Rights of the Child, emphasizing safety measures and protection of children against all forms of violence, injury, maltreatment and exploitation including sexual abuse.

Objectives of the Club

Its aim is to educate the participants about child rights and how they can ensure that issues concerning children are addressed. Creating awareness about child protection is the main goal of this club.
