The next seminar held on 04.03.2017.In our department conducted the ‘State level seminar’ on this day.The chief guest of the occasion Mr.P.Vijayagopal,Radiological Safety Division, Indra Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research,kalpakkam and also special lecture was given by Dr.R.Ravisankar and Dr.R.Srinivasan Asst.Prof.PG & Research department of physics,Govt.Arts College,Tiruvannamalai.
He has dealt with the topic “NUCLEAR REACTOR AND ITS APPLICATIONS”.
In this seminar we discussed about how to produce current from Uranium atoms and also he explained how to dispose the wastages.
He explained current usages in different countries. In hot countries use more current because they make cool the surroundings. In cool countries current usage is also high because they make the surroundings hot.
Also He explained, how they will produce current in kalpakkam and also explained radioactivity and its decays.
